Playing video games helps to relieve stress and tension.

Aside from resting, excersice, playing sports, out of town, yoga, etc.. Did you know that playing video games can also helps relieve stress and tension?

Before i do play online games like ragnarok/cabal/dota/rohan and etc. that’s my past time and my daily habit after working for hours at the office.. Sieging for an hour, Killing players at PVP (parang ang lakas ko no?), aiming beyond godlike per game(malakas talaga ako.. hehee..) , Boss Hunting, Party Questing, Nation War, etc.. can relieve stress..

Recent studies by researchers at the Massachusetts General Hospital’s (MGH) Center for Mental Health and Media have shown that playing online games helps to relieve stress and tension from work.

So do you have a really stressful job? Does the mental fatigue take its toll on you day in and day out? The good news is that playing video games is a great stress reliever. It can actually help you relax and relieve some of the tension; after a quick gaming session you will feel less stressed and ready to tackle the next problem.

Online games come in a huge range of choices from simple games that do not require much concentration or mental effort to puzzle and strategy games that need you to shift from high stress to refocus on a game that completely engages your mind and thinking capabilities. Believe it or not, one quick game session can actual increase productivity levels. Read the rest of this entry »

LogMeIn

I Recently found a site that can access your computer via web-bases page. It’s like a software to remote a computer via another computer.

LogMeIn (NASDAQ: LOGM) is a suite of software services that provides remote access to computers over the Internet. The various product versions are designed for both end users and professional help desk personnel.

LogMeIn remote access products use a proprietary remote desktop protocol that is transmitted via SSL. An SSL certificate is created for each remote desktop and is used to cryptographically secure communications between the remote desktop and the accessing computer.

Users access remote desktops using either the LogMeIn Ignition stand-alone application or a web portal. The web portal requires either an ActiveX plugin for Internet Explorer, or an extension for Firefox (the LogMeIn plug-in for Firefox), failing that it falls back to requiring Java in order to run a Java program, and failing that it falls back to “a screen-shot based HTML remote control”. The web portal also provides status information for the remote computers and, optionally, remote computer management functions.

The service connects the remote desktop and the local computer using SSL over TCP or UDP and utilizing NAT traversal techniques to achieve peer-to-peer connectivity when available

Windows 7 in Apple (Boot Camp Update 27-inch iMac fix)

Apple finally brings official Windows 7 support to Boot Camp (update: 27-inch iMac fix)

Either Apple isn’t operating on the Gregorian calender, or these updates are just straight-up late. Either way, we’re pretty stoked to see the suits in Cupertino finally wise up and allow Microsoft’s best OS ever to work on its machines, as it has today issued new Boot Camp software (v3.1) for both 32-bit and 64-bit users of Windows 7. The updates add native support for Win7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate, and in case that wasn’t enough, they also fix “issues” with the Apple trackpad and add support for Apple’s wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse. You’ll also find model-specific drivers floating around to add even more support, and the Boot Camp Utility for Windows 7 Upgrade is said to “safely unmount the read-only Macintosh volume on Windows Vista” when upgrading from Vista to Windows 7. Hit those links below for all the bits and bytes that you’ve been so desperately waiting for.

Update: we’re hearing reports that the 27-inch iMac is responding to Windows 7 with the Black Screen of Death, so make sure you use this tool from Apple before installing Windows 7. Too late? Then you’ll have to manually remove the offending default ATI drivers by starting from point 4 on this page (hold down Option key while booting up to select the Windows install disc, by the way), and then try the Boot Camp update again.

Dell Froot Concept Design

With the environment and sustainability firmly in mind the Dell Froot concept saves the planet courtesy two projectors: One for the virtual keyboard, and another for the monitor.

Designed by Pauline Carlos as part of a sustainability contest sponsored by Dell, the Froot also uses a colorful case that’s constructed out of a biodegradable starch-based polymer. As it’s a futuristic concept, the lack of a mouse is understabdable—we’ll no doubt be using our brains by then.

More seriously, Pico projectors are *almost* there, but not quite, otherwise I’d be asking why this is still just a concept.
